Meeting called to order by Chairman Pharo.

NOTE: This meeting was conducted via phone. It was posted on the door of the Fortescue station with access # to meeting.

Motion to pay bills, 1st Pharo, 2ed Cowley

OLD BUSINESS

Mr. Robertson gave the following report,

  1. A representative from Plowman’s Windows and Door from Millville came to the Fortescue station to give an estimate on the exterior doors. After inspection of the doors they stated that they could not do this project. They recommended that South Jersey Glass from Vineland might be the company to contact. They will be contacted and George will report back.
  2. The security system for both Fortescue and Newport stations are currently being worked on. Hose and ladder testing will be completed in the fall by Fire One. This is due to the current COVID-19 situation.
  3. An update on COVID-19 procedures for all fire company members was given. Chief Robertson has been in contact frequently with medical director Dr. Levell. At this time no one should be in either station other than to respond to calls or trustees checking on the station. All areas that have come in contact with anyone must be wiped down with the proper disinfectant. Chief Robertson also stated that all COVID-19 calls with be dispatched with call county. This will be done to advise all responding personal that this is or is not a positive COVID-19 location.
  4. The compressor at the Newport station was checked and is running ok.

 

NEW BUSINESS

Mr. Higbee gave the following report,

  1. M-39 is back in from shop and a new LED bar light will be mounted this month for night time operations.
  2. A request for new (90) lights for dive truck, boats, and fire police was made to Chief Robertson. Both Robertson and Asst. Chief Silvers are looking into this and will report back.
  3. The communications boxes were taken to American Dive for repair. Mr. Rothman will report when done.
  4. The flag pole at the Fortescue station needs a new lanyard due to recent high winds.

Mr. Robertson gave the following report,

  1. The update on the Ackley Rd. fire was given.
  2. The road damage in Gandys Beach due to a recent storm.
  3. R-3923 was serviced
  4. R-39 is temporarily OOS due to an oil leak.
  5. The 5 ton is now in service for the summer storm season. New batteries were installed and the radio will be installed soon.

Mr. Rothman gave the following report,

  1. Mike has been in contact with Tom from Mr. Colavitas office about the 2019 audit. We should have all audit information for the June meeting.
  2. Comcast was contacted about the services that they offer for building cameras.

Chaplin Green spoke about deceased members of the fire company.
