Meeting called to order at 6:00pm by Chairman Pharo.

NOTE: This meeting was conducted via phone. It was posted on the door at the Fortescue station with access # to meeting.

Roll Call

Chairman Pharo, Vice Chairman Lupton, Secretary Higbee, Treasurer Robertson, Commissioner Cowley, Clerk Rothman.

Minutes of the March 2 were approved as recorded.

Motion to pay bills 1st Lupton, 2ed Higbee.

OLD BUSINESS

Mr. Robertson gave the following report,

  1. The air compressor at the Newport station needs to be serviced. George will report back.
  2. The meeting with DCA of fire safety on the FF2 class was held. At this time no discrepancies were found. George will report back when more information is available.
  3. The grant for air packs is now in the que. We are waiting for the awarding of the grant in the near future.

NEW BUSINESS

Mr. Robertson gave the following report,

  1. Due to the COVID-19 the testing on fire pumps and ladders will be postponed until further notice.
  2. George and Medical Director Dr. Ken Levell had a meeting on new SOP in response to COVID-19. Chief Robertson will distribute this information to the company members via text and e-mail.

Mr. Higbee gave the following report,

  1. 18 SCUBA tanks were picked up for service and inspection by Racitie. The communications box was also sent to American Dive Shop for service.
  2. M-39 will be going to South Jersey Boat works for the yearly service and to get bottom painted. SJ Boat is the only service company in our county to authorized to perform work on this engine.
  3. There are a number of exterior doors at the Fortescue station that are in very poor condition. The doors are original and have rust and other issues. George will contact Plowman’s for an estimate and report back.

A discussion on building security at both the Newport and Fortescue stations took place. Rothman stated that he will contact a company and get quotes for cameras systems and report back.

Miss. Cowley reported that the Green Team will not be asking to use the Fortescue hall on May 30 due to the COVID-19 situation.

Mr. Robertson reported that all members were notified not to bring anyone outside of company members into either station during the COVID-19 outbreak. This will stay in effect until further notice. Mr. Robertson also outlined safety precautions for members at this time.

Mr. Rothman reported that as of this date there has been no problems with the 2019 audit. There will be an audit to the insurance policies in the near future. All insurance bills have been paid in full. Mr. Rothman will contact Dr. Levell on the annual payment.
