Meeting called to order at 6:00pm by Chairman Pharo.

Roll Call

Chairman Pharo, Secretary Higbee, Treasurer Robertson, Commissioner Lupton.

Minutes of February 3ed were approved as recorded.

Motion to pay bills, Higbee, Lupton.

OLD BUSINESS

Mr. Higbee gave the following report,

1. The results from the February 15^th election are as follows,

The Newport station was opened up at 1400hr and closed at 2100hr by Chairman Pharo. On hand were Chairman Pharo, Secretary Higbee, Commissioner Lupton, and Clerk Rothman. At the closing the ballots were tallied with 22 residents voting.

For the 2020 operating budget 22-YES, 0-NO.

21 votes for both candidates.

Secretary Higbee notified the county board of elections of the ballot count and was given the mail in ballots at this time.

There were 14 mail in votes.

For the 2020 operating budget 9-YES, 5-NO.

14 votes for both candidates.

Final count

For the2020 operating budget 31-YES, 5-NO.35 votes for both candidates, Larry Pharo and Elizabeth Cowley.

Mr. Robertson gave the following report,

1. The AFG grant for air packs will be worked on this month.
2. The new copier is on order and will have a report next month.
3. Disciplinary action was taken on a member for harassment. The member was demoted and suspended for 60 days. Mr. Braslow was advised of the situation and involved with this situation.

Mr. Rothman gave the following report,

1. The approved adopted budget has been received from the state.
2. Rothman will look into getting prices for security cameras for both stations.
3. Rothman met with Tom from Colavitas office and dropped off the 2019 paper work for the audit.

NEW BUSINESS

Mr. Robertson reported that a representative from the Division of Fire Safety will be down on 2/3/20 to address a complaint on our fire (2) class that takes place at our station. He will report back during the April meeting.

Mr. Lupton asked if the fill lights on Tender 39 can be checked. He reported that the were not working properly on a recent call. Chief Robertson will look into this.

With no new business needed Chairman Pharo opened nominations for the board officers for 2020. The clerk then read off the current positions.

Vice Chairman – Open

Secretary – Cliff Higbee

Treasurer – George Robertson Jr.

Commissioner – Charlie Lupton

The following are the new 2020 officers,

Chairman – Larry Pharo, Nominated by, 1^st Higbee, 2ed Robertson.

Vice Chairman – Charlie Lupton, Nominated by 1^st Pharo, 2ed Higbee.

Secretary – Cliff Higbee, Nominated by 1^st Robertson, 2ed Lupton.

Treasurer – George Robertson Jr., Nominated by 1^st Higbee, 2ed Pharo.

Commissioner – Elizbeth Cowley will fill the vacant seat.

Chairman Pharo then asked that the sectary prepare and read the resolutions,

20-02 = Appointment of Attorney

20-03 = adoption of cash management plan

20-04 =Authorizing the regular meeting schedule

20-05 = Designation of official news paper

20-06 = Authorizing approval and payment pf claims

20-07 = Designating surety bonding for the board

20-08 = Authorizing appointment of auditor

20-09 = Authorizing appointment of clerk.
