Meeting called to order by Chairman Pharo at 6:00pm.
Roll Call – Chairman Pharo, Vice Chairman Lupton, Treasurer Robertson, Secretary Higbee, Commissioner Cowley, Clerk Rothman.
Public on hand – 6.
Minutes of the December 3ed meeting were approved as recorded, Pharo, Higbee.
Motion to pay bills Lupton, Cowley.
OLD BUSINESS
Mr. Robertson gave the following report,
- The door at the Fortescue station has been fixed in the engine room.
- The A/C condenser has been fixed on 39-50.
- Storm -39 has the radio installed and the tire problem has beer addressed. Mr. Robertson thanked Mr. Leswing for his help.
- All Scott packs have been tested and all are in service at this time. This was completed by Mid-Atlantic Del Valve.
- Hose testing will take place on November 9 at the Newport station.
- Emergency roof repairs have been completed at the Newport station by Rubart Roofing.
- Sterling Pest Control has serviced both stations for pest control.
- The truck committee (new rescue) has met with representatives from Pierce and are awaiting prints and specs at this time. A meeting with E- One will take place in the near future as well as SUI.
Mr. Lupton reported that the new ID machine will be on line in the near future.
NEW BUSINESS
Mr. Robertson gave the following report,
- All truck maintenance has been completed by EVS.
- The need for outside lighting at the Bravo side of the building at the Newport station. Systems Electric will be contacted.
Miss. Cowley reported that the Green Team will be issuing the 2023 calendar soon, any dates that are important to the company can be included with this.
TREASURES REPORT
Checking Account - $334,824.57
At this time Chairman Pharo asked the clerk to introduce the 2023 budget.
Mr. Rothman distributed copies of the proposed 2023 budget to the board for review. This reflected any monies to be raised by taxation and will reflect $0.190 per $100.00 of assessed property value. The amount requested will be $230261.13. This amount reflects no increase form the 2022 budget. A public hearing will be held on December 5th 2022 at 6:00pm. Any changes or recommendations can be made at this time. After the public hearing the board can vote on the proposed 2023 budget. All advertising will be placed in the Vineland Daily Journal.
Mr. Rothman also offered resolution # 22-10. This is for the transfer of funds on line items if they may be needed for the year 2022. A vote of 5-0 in favor of resolution #22-10.
