THE COMMISSIONERS OF FIRE DISTRICT NO 1

July 7, 2020

Meeting called to order at 1800 by Chairman Pharo

Roll Call

Chairman Pharo, Vice Chairman Lupton, Treasurer Robertson, Commissioner Cowley, Clerk Rothman.

Public on hand 1

Minutes of June 2ed were amended and approved by Lupton, Cowley.

Motion to pay bills, Pharo, Cowley.

 

OLD BUSINESS

Mr. Robertson gave the following report,

  1. We are waiting on update on the replacement of doors and locks at both Fortescue and Newport station.
  2. The compressor was repaired at the Newport station and still is not shutting off.
  3. Hose and ladder testing will take place in September.
  4. The 5 ton is not in operation at this time.
  5. The batteries were dead at the last drill. All Batteries will be replaced yearly as part of maintenance.

Mr. Rothman gave the following report,

  1. The Video system will be billed monthly by comcast. The installation will start in the near future.
  2. The audit books have not been returned as of this date.

NEW BUSINESS

Mr. Robertson reported that dive gear and SCBA masks will be issued in the near future.

Miss Cowley Reported that the Green team will host an event at the Fortescue Hall on the 15th of August. Seafood and Pasta dinner. This will be a take out ONLY event. We are looking for volunteers at this time. This will be reevaluated for the take out again on the 16th of July.

Mr. Rothman reported that the dive Comm box has been picked up and is now in service.
