Meeting called to order at 6:00pm by Chairman Pharo

OLD BUSINESS
Clerk Rothman reported on the election results of February 16. There were 33 total votes, of them 7 were absentee votes according to Cumberland County Board of Elections The 2019 budget passed 32 votes in favor. George Robertson Jr. had 32 votes for a term of 3 years. No other votes were cast for this position. The election results were sent to the State of New Jersey and Township of Downe.
Mr. Higbee gave the following report.
- The roof at the Newport station over the engine bay will be recoated in April or early May.
- The Secretaries printer needs to be replaced due to being outdated. This will be purchased this month.
Asst. Chief Burt reported that the siren at the Newport station is back in service at this time. We will see what happens.
NEW BUSINESS / RESOUTIONS
Outgoing Treasurer Mr. Beardsworth did not attend this meeting so Secretary Higbee welcomed Mr. Robertson to the board and promptly had him sign the oath of office for Treasurer.
At this time Chairman Pharo reviewed and opened the reorganization portion for the 2019 board.
Chairman – Mr. Higbee nominated Mr. Pharo, 2ed Mr. Lupton.
Vice Chairman – Mr. Pharo nominated Mr. Baginsky, 2ed Mr. Lupton.
Secretary – Mr. Lupton nominated Mr. Higbee, 2ed Mr. Pharo.
Treasurer - Mr. Higbee nominated Mr. Robertson, 2ed Mr. Lupton.
All nominations were passed with a 5 – 0 vote.
Position of Clerk for the Board of Commissioners for a term of one year will be done by resolution.
19-3 Position of Clerk to the board, Mike Rothman for a one (1) year term.
19-4 Official newspaper for publications shall be The Vineland Daily Journal.
19-5 Authorizing the regular meeting schedule for 2019.
19-6 Authorizing appointment of attorney for 2019 to Richard M Braslow Esq. from Toms River N.J.
19-7 Authorizing appointment of auditor for 2019 to Colavita/Volpa of Williamstown N.J.
19-8 Authorizing approval and payment of claims.
19-9 Designating security bonding for commissioner’s and clerk.
At this time Chairman Pharo closed the reorganization portion of the meeting. Regular business resumed.
Mr. Higbee asked for the clerk to set a time and date to meet with Colavita office in the near future. The agenda of this meeting will include, introduction of the incoming Treasurer Mr. Robertson, discuss any changes or corrections that need to be taken. Any question or concerns from any commissioner will also be addressed at this time. Mr. Rothman will report back at April’s meeting. Mr. Rothman will deliver the required paper work for the 2018 audit to Colavitas office in the next week.
The 2019 approved and adopted budget from the State Of New Jersey was presented. Mr. Higbee will file accordingly.
