Meeting called to order by chairman Pharo at 6:00pm.
Roll call, Chairman Pharo, Vice Chairman Lupton. Treasurer Robertson, Secretary Higbee, Commissioner Cowley, Clerk Rothman.
Public on hand 8.
Minutes from the June 6 meeting were approved as recorded, Robertson, Cowley.
Motion to pay bills, Lupton, Pharo.
OLD BUSINESS
Mr. Robertson gave the following report,
- The engine room door opens from the inside but not the outside. It still needs repair.
- 3950 is back in service.
- System Electric has completed the work at the Fortescue station.
Mr. Higbee reported that the generator at the Fortescue station has been serviced by Foley Caterpillar.
Mr. Rothman reported that the new insurance agent added some equipment to the list of equipment to be insured.
NEW BUSINESS
Mr. Robertson gave the following report,
- New trickle chargers were ordered for the pump trailer.
- The inflation system is not working on the 5 ton. Cumberland Tire is working on this. Will report back.
- The Newport station will no longer get the county health inspection.
- The new requirements and cost of dive training were reviewed. The cost will be paid at 50%. The company will have the option to reimburse the remaining 50% if the diver stays in good standing for no less than one (1) year.
Mr. Higbee reported that the Fortescue Anglers will use the Fortescue Hall for their meeting on the second Wednesday of each month into the fall.
Miss Cowley gave the falling report.
- Some wires are hanging low at the south end of Fortescue past the bridge.
- The annual Bounty of the Bay will be held on August 13; 2022 at the Fortescue Station. Any donation or anyone able to help would be welcome.
