OLD BUSINESS
Miss Cowley reported that the Township will maintain the grass at the Newport station. A thank you from the Green Team for the help at Hometown Day that helped raise $3,700.00 for the afterglow party at the school.
Mr. Green reported that the company did training for the Township employees with the fire extinguishers. This was done at the cost of the fire company.
NEW BUSINESS
Mr. Robertson gave the following report,
- T-39 has 6 new drive tires from Cumberland Tire.
- All the tires on 39-23 have been replaced by Cumberland Tire.
- The portable pumps are back in service at this time.
- The Hose, ladder, and pump testing has been put on hold by Fire One due lack of employees on their part.
- All company vehicles will undergo preventative maintenance this week by EVS.
- The Siren at the Fortescue station is not working.
- There are 4 company cell phones that will not be renewed when the people that are issued them are no longer associated with the company. Mr. Higbee will turn his in at the end of 2021.
- At the start of 2022 an exploratory committee will be put together for a new rescue truck for the company.
Mr. Higbee reported that the navigation system on Marine – 39 is in working order. A new GPS antenna has been installed.
Mr. Robertson and Mr. Rothman reported that a meeting with Tom Narolewski from Assured Partners was held on October 27. Mr. Higbee, Mr. Robertson, and Mr. Rothman were present. This is to explore what options we currently have for insurance policies. Mr. Narolewski will attend the December meeting for a presentation to the board.
TREASURERS REPORT
Mr. Rothman reported that we are currently waiting on the township for the CNC-3 for the budget. The board see no reason to raise the budget at this time. We will introduce the 2022 budget at the December meeting.
AN invoice was received from Am Trust in the amount of $23,844.00. This is the workman’s Comp policy that we no longer have. After contacting Am Trust they have revised and adjusted this amount to $567.00. It was the board’s decision to pay this amount and close this invoice.
