Meeting called to order by Chairman Pharo at 6:00pm.
Roll Call, Chairman Pharo, Vice Chairman Lupton, Treasurer Robertson, Secretary Higbee, Commissioner Cowley, Clerk Rothman.
Public on hand 19.
Minutes of the February 6 meeting were read and approved as recorded, Lupton, Cowley.
Motion to pay bills Lupton, Cowley.
OLD BUSINESS
Mr. Robertson gave the following report,
- Thru various grants 8 sets of turn out gear and dive communication equipment has been ordered.
- The county Homeland Security grant is in progress.
- The Port Security grant meeting that was held recently in Philadelphia was very informative however, advantageous at this time.
- The heaters in the engine room at the Fortescue Station are repaired.
- An up date on the recent events with DCA and POSHA, many changes have occurred the past year and more will be coming. They include facial hair, permitted personal that can ride on fire apparatus, and requirements that any fire company member must obtain. There will also be some amendments to our by-laws.
Mr. Robertson and Mr. Rothman had a conference call with Mr. Braslow in regards to the approval and purchase of a new rescue truck. We will register with H.G.A.C. This will allow us to stream line the purchase process.
Mr. Rothman reported the election results, see attached results.
NEW BUSINESS
Chairman Pharo opened up the recognition for the board at this time.
For Chairman Mr. Robertson nominated Charlie Lupton, second, Miss Cowley.
For Vice Chairman Mr. Robertson nominated Liz Cowley, second, Mr. Higbee.
For Secretary Miss. Cowley nominated Cliff Higbee, second, Mr. Robertson.
For Treasurer Mr. Higbee nominated George Robertson, second, Mr. Higbee.
Mr. Munson will be Fire Commissioner.
With no additional nominations the board has been seated.
Chairman Lupton thanked Mr. Pharo for his many years of service to the Board of commissioners.
Mr. Higbee asked for the board to support Chief Robertsons in purchasing two support vehicles. This will replace 39-21 as well as a new Chief vehicle due to the new county structure. Both units will aid in the towing of marine assets as well.
