Meeting called to order by Chairman Pharo at 6:00pm.

Roll Call, Chairman Pharo, Vice Chairman Lupton, Treasurer Robertson, Secretary Higbee, Commissioner Crowley, Clerk Rothman.

Public on hand – 12.

Minutes of the December 5^th meeting were approved as recorded, Higbee, Lupton.

Motion to pay bills, Cowley, Pharo.

OLD BUSINESS

Mr. Robertson gave the following report,

1. The heater at the Newport station has been repaired by Woodruff Oil Co.
2. The new lights are installed at the Newport station on the South side.
3. The overhead door at the Newport station has been repaired.

Mr. Rothman reported that the Cumberland County Board of Elections will hold a mandatory meeting of all fire districts at the county clerk’s office on January 10^th @ 10;00aqm. This is for the purpose of mail in ballots.

NEW BUSINESS

Mr. Robertson reported that the starter was replace on 39-21 by Scarlatos and is back in service.

Chairman Pharo reminded all that the 2023 elections will be held on February 17^th from 2:00 – 9:00pm at the Newport fire hall.

TREASURERS REPORT

Checking Account - $327,755.81

Mr. Rothman suggested to the board that due to the rising costs of the goods and services throughout the region, the need to update the 2024 budget may be necessary. September of 2023 a line-by-line review of expenses by the board should be completed. The board agreed and will review.
